A Conversation on Art | Discussion of Objects

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 🗣

Enjoy relaxed conversation in the gallery with Regional Spotlight artist Colin Reaney as he guides us through topics covering the nature of object and culture of production. From his experience in Regional Spotlight, Colin has surveyed the relationship between artist and object with queries behind the way artists handle their art, where they make it, the chances they get to make it, how they are going to let it out, and to whom. This opened up three main questions:

❓What the art object is;
❓How we know it;
❓What does it mean to know.

With that in mind, Colin invites you to an evening of discussion where participants are invited to discuss a variety of short text and video to be read prior to the event.
